Job summary

John J Kane Regional Center - Scott in Pittsburgh is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. You will assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and maintain nutritional status, and enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.

You will educate the care team, follow standards of practice, collaborate with dining services, and contribute to quality improvement within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be RD or eligible and pass CDR exam.
• Continuing education: 75 hours every 5 years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulations for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach nutrition to others.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
