Job summary

Almond View Care Center is seeking a Dietitian to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Food Services Department to ensure quality nutritional services and a clean, sanitary operation. The Dietitian has administrative authority to implement and supervise daily tasks under the Administrator’s direction.

The role includes reviewing policies, developing corrective plans for deficiencies found in surveys, and supporting the QA Committee with action plans to improve food service operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Must have supervisory experience in a hospital or related medical facility.
• Knowledge of current federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Food Services Department and its programs.
• Review and revise department policies and manuals at least annually for revisions.
• Develop plans of correction for deficiencies noted during surveys and present to the Administrator for approval.
• Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in action plans to correct deficiencies.

Job description

The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that quality nutritional services are being provided on a daily basis and that the food services department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

AsDietitian, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Additional duties to include:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our facility’s Food Services Department, its programs and activities.
• Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions. Make recommendations to the Administrator.
• Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state/federal surveys and provide a written copy of such plan to the Administrator for his/her approval.
• Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing plans of action to correct any food service deficiencies.

Eduation:

Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

Must have, as a minimum, ______ year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
