Job summary

RegalCare at Glen Ridge is seeking a passionate Registered Dietitian to join our care team. You will assess residents’ nutritional needs, develop tailored nutrition plans, and support interdisciplinary care to promote health and well-being.

You will conduct assessments on admission, educate residents and families, monitor intake, and ensure regulatory compliance. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered, paid at 6 and 12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Current registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• State licensure as RDN or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• 1–2 years of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in skilled nursing/long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents upon admission and as needed.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on medical conditions and dietary needs.
• Provide ongoing nutrition education and counseling to residents and families.
• Monitor nutritional status and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nutrition and food service.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.
• Stay current with research and best practices in nutrition and dietetics.
