Job summary

Dentists of East Clovis in California seeks a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. You will assist the dentist, educated patients with intra-oral pictures, and support efficient, high-quality dental treatment.

Responsibilities include taking x-rays, preparing patients, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA. State certification/licensure and education credentials are required.

Qualifications

State certification/licensure required per applicable state.
Completed training courses mandated by state for registration.
Associate degree or certificate in dental assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by addressing patient needs and concerns.
Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment; assist doctors for efficient care.
Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories according to ADA guidelines.
Maintain compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices.
