Job summary

Visalia Modern Dentistry in Visalia, California, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

You will perform patient care, assist with x-rays and intra-oral photos, maintain sterile operatories, educate patients on oral health, and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA and dental board guidelines. Join our team to grow your skills and contribute to excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or state-mandated equivalent.
• State certifications/licenses as required by the applicable state.
• Associate degree or a certificate from a college or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, cheerful environment; prepare patients for treatment and assist the doctors.
• Under dentist direction, perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Comply with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
