Job summary

Marketplace Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics in Fresno, CA seeks a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). The role supports the dentist to engage patients, perform chair-side procedures, and help deliver the best possible treatment with urgency.

You will assist with radiographs and intra-oral imaging while ensuring a clean, welcoming operatory. The ideal candidate has completed the required schooling and state licensing, understands infection control, and can maintain compliance with ADA, OSHA,

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state (e.g. radiograph exposure, etc).
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by keeping patients focused on optimal treatment and addressing needs.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment; assist doctors for efficient care.
• Take x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Comply with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies).
