Job summary

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in East Los Angeles is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists, educate patients, and maintain instrument sterility. The role reports to the Operations Manager and offers a pay range of $25-$32 per hour with generous bonuses and full benefits.

This on-site position requires a California RDA license, travel to affiliated practices as needed, and strong multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Dental Assistant license issued by the Dental Board of California.
• Willing to travel between local affiliated practices for temporary assignments.
• Ability to multi-task and complete complex dental tasks correctly and on time.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred knowledge of Dentrix, eClinical Works, Dolphin Database, Denta-Cal, Ortho 2, and Vision Revolution Accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent chair-side assistance to dentists and educate patients on oral health.
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents.
• Perform coronal polishing, apply topical fluoride and/or sealants, and remove orthodontic bands (per state laws and with required credentials/supervision).
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards.
• Perform safe x-ray techniques and capture quality dental x-rays as prescribed by the dentist.
• Ensure the practice is clean and presentable to patients (lobby, restrooms, etc.).
• Participate in other duties that support high-quality and compassionate dental services to underserved children.

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in East Los Angeles is currently seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to perform a variety of duties within our dental practice and support dentists as they care for patients. This position will report to the Operations Manager.

Pay range: $25-$32/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Provide excellent chair-side assistance to doctor
• Perform coronal polishing, apply topical fluoride and/or sealants, and remove orthodontic bands(per state laws and with required credentials/supervision)
• Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Perform safe x-ray techniques and capture efficient and quality dental x-rays as prescribed by the dentist
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental and orthodontic services to underserved children
