Job summary

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Glendale, CA is currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.

Pay range: $24-$31/hr. Generous pay with monthly bonus opportunities, PTO and paid holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401K.

Qualifications

• Radiology training that meets California state requirements.
• Current BLS CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience in a dental office is advantageous.
• Ability to multi-task and provide efficient chair-side support.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting bands, bonding, archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces.
• Collect and record patient medical history in EHR system.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure high-quality care and patient experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the practice for patients.
• Participate in other duties supporting mission to provide quality services to underserved children.

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Glendale, CA is currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients including cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
