Job summary

Hero Practice Services in Van Nuys, CA, seeks an Orthodontic Assistant to deliver high-quality care to patients. The role reports to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and pays $24-$31 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting orthodontists, recording medical history in EHR, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for patients and families. Prior dental office experience and BLS CPR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training meeting state requirements.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and timely.
• Experience in a dental office is preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with chair-side assistance: bands, bonding, archwires, appliances, braces removal.
• Record patient medical history in EHR systems.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Maintain clean, presentable practice areas including restrooms, lobby, floors.
• Support mission by performing additional duties as needed.

Position Overview

Kids Dental Place and Orthodontics in Van Nuys, CA

are currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.

Pay range: $24-$31/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Provide orthodontist with excellent chair-side assistance by fitting orthodontic bands, setting up bonding, placing archwires, delivering appliances, and removing braces in a timely manner
• Collect and record patient medical history in Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) system
• Collaborate with others to provide high-quality care and experience for our patients and their families
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Minimum Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
