Job summary

PDS Health in Charleston, SC is seeking a Dental Assistant to join Dentists of West Ashley and support patients with expert care. You will learn new skills from a team of experienced professionals and grow professionally in a modern practice model.

You will assist clinicians, maintain a clean, sterile environment, perform X-rays, and adhere to ADA/OSHA/HIPAA guidelines while helping deliver the Perfect Patient Experience.

Qualifications

• Assist the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment and complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories following ADA, OSHA and HIPAA guidelines and other regulations.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)

Compensation Information

$20.00-$27.75 / Hourly
