Job summary

Acadian Modern Dentistry is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team in Baton Rouge. You will assist the dentist, capture x-rays, and help create a welcoming, efficient patient experience.

You will work with a caring team and have access to modern dental technology, CE units, and a supportive environment focused on clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Dental assistant certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with radiographs and intra-oral imaging.
• Ability to maintain sterile, efficient clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment.
• Maintain clean, sterile operatories and take x-rays as directed.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA and dental board guidelines.

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)

Compensation Information

$17.25-$24.00 / Hourly
