Job description

Registered Cardiac Sonographer Per Diem

Department: Cardio Lab

The Registered Cardiac Sonographer Per Diem will:

1. Perform echocardiographic procedures following accepted protocols and utilizing clinical symptoms and data to aid in diagnosis.
2. Prepare patients for echocardiographic procedures.
3. Communicate with patients, family members, physicians, emergency room staff, floors, clinics, and their office staff in a competent and professional manner.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of cardiac diagnostic equipment, techniques, and procedures required to perform or assist in clinical tests and procedures.
• Graduate from an accredited school of Medical Cardiac Ultrasound.
• Required national registry, RDCS (ARDMS) preferred; RCS (CCI) will be considered.
• High interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and collaborate with medical, nursing, technical, and physician staff.
• Ability to stand and walk 50% of the time. BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.

Salary Range:

$43.00 USD per hour
