Job summary

Mercy Health in Toledo, OH is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to perform diagnostic echocardiography including Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) plus Cardiac Stress testing, in a patient-centered environment.

This on-site role requires BLS certification and eligible RDCS/RCS credentials, with an Associate degree in cardiovascular technology (preferred).

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study (preferred)
• BLS certification required
• RDCS or RCS credentialing required (ARDMS/CCI)
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred)
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred)
• PACS experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart during Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing examinations
• Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures
• Utilizes the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information and document any critical findings
• On call hours required
