Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Echocardiography Technologist to operate ultrasound systems for M-mode, 2-D sector scans and Doppler studies. The role includes bedside testing, patient instruction, and collaboration with physicians to support cardiac assessments.

The ideal candidate has RDMS certification, an Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology and at least two years of cardiac ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field required.
• RDMS certification required.
• At least two years experience in cardiac ultrasound.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to transcribe medical documents and assist with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment for M-mode Echocardiography, 2-D Sector Scan, color flow, and Doppler studies.
• Perform tests in department and bedside, monitor vital signs, and administer IV antibiotics as needed.
• Prepare preliminary reports and ensure accuracy of calculations and patient info.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment; assist with clerical duties and student demonstrations.
