Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Cardiac Sonographer Registered to perform diagnostic heart tests using ultrasound equipment. You will work with transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and cardiac stress testing to evaluate cardiac function.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, documenting results in EMR, and supporting on-call coverage as needed. BLS certification is required, with credentialing in echocardiography highly valued.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Credentialed in echocardiography (RDCS or RCS) preferred/required.
• On-call availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound equipment to evaluate the heart.
• Demonstrates ability to perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes EMR to review patient information and document findings.
• On-call hours required.
