Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Registered Behavioral Technician to provide one-on-one support to children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental challenges in Jacksonville.

The role focuses on social and communication skill development and adherence to behavior plans. You will document progress, assist with implementing plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and participate in sessions that promote behavioral improvement, with flexible

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills required.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related experience (ABA, Paraprofessional, Behavior Technician) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social and communication skills and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
