Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking experienced behavioral therapists to work with children on the autism spectrum in in-home settings. Position involves applying ABA goals 1:1 under BCBA supervision, with emphasis on social, language, motor, and cognitive skill development.

The role requires a minimum of one year of relevant experience, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication skills in English. Competitive pay per hour, benefits, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year relevant & professional experience.
• Current hands-on CPR/BLS certification (in-person class).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray as applicable per state/client requirement.
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, clients in English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preference: Computer proficiency.
• Completed at least 12 semester hours or 48 semester hours completed or enrolled in related degree fields.

Responsibilities

• Follows the instructions of the BCBA/Program Supervisor.
• Provides behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients.
• Works with clients, families, and communities to implement treatment plan.
• Completes and documents sessions per policies and procedures.
• Attends and participates in in-service trainings.
• Upholds ethical standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• Playtime is learning time; fun is expected as well.

What We Do:

Under the ongoing supervision of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst, our BT’s & RBT's provide behavioral intervention with children on the Autism Spectrum working 1:1 in the in-home setting. You are responsible for implementing goals in the treatment plan as written by the BCBA. Our goal is to improve the lives of children and families living with autism. And specifically help children on the spectrum learn effective social, motor, language, communication and cognitive skills with the approach of ABA.

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferences:

• Computer proficiency required
• Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours (or equivalent) of college coursework and currently be enrolled in course of study leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree (psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related fields); or have completed a minimum of 48 semester hours (or equivalent) of college coursework.
