Role Description

We’re looking for a compassionate, quick-thinking, and energetic Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. This full-time, in-person position offers a chance to work one-on-one with children and young adults, implementing customized behavioral programs designed by experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

Service Area: You will work primarily around Wheeling, IL, and throughout the Northwest Suburbs and North Chicago area, providing services in-home, in schools, and in clinic-based settings.

As an RBT at Motivated Learners, you’ll:

• Deliver direct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions
• Implement behavior intervention plans created by BCBAs
• Collect real-time data on client behaviors and skill development
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
• Help clients achieve life-changing milestones — big and small

Requirements

• Able to lift 50+ lbs (position involves physical activity like assisting with mobility or responding to elopement behaviors)
• Must be quick on your feet and capable of responding swiftly to eloping clients
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred (but we will help the right candidate obtain it)
• High school diploma required; college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued
• Excellent communication and observation skills
• A team-player attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure
• High level of patience, empathy, and professionalism
