Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for the direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming with clients at Westside Children’s Therapy, under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Providing predominantly play-based therapy, the RBT will support Westside clients in the development of a wide variety of skills.

Work Schedule

Tuesdays 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Thursdays 11:30 am - 3:30 pm, Fridays 11 am - 3 pm.

Essential Functions
  • Implement direct therapy services for assigned clients and caseload, following programming written by BCBA
  • Engage with BCBA during regular supervision sessions to ask questions and receive feedback
  • Collect and record data on patients' behavior
  • Complete and submit required documentation (SOAP notes, etc) in a timely manner, aligned with Westside's policies and procedures
  • Develop strong relationships with the children on your caseload and strive to make every session a fun experience
Required Education, Experience, and Credentials
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active RBT certification required within 60 days of hire
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence with a variety of computer applications
  • Comfortable persona to better develop relationships with children and their families

  • Patience with the ability to redirect clients frequently and compassionately

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessions
  • Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during play-based therapy
Travel Requirements
  • Some travel within assigned region for training, meetings, and supporting client coverage needs.
