Job summary

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician/Educational Assistant to support students with instructional and behavioral goals. The role centers on implementing Positive Behavior Support plans, data collection, and targeted coaching in a collaborative setting.

Hours are 8 per day, 221 days per year, under an unaffiliated contract. Candidates must obtain RBT certification within 6 months of hire, contributing to a safe, engaging learning environment aligned

Qualifications

• RBT certification required or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience supporting students in educational settings is preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse learners in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students individually or in small groups.
• Support the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans through modeling and coaching.
• Oversees behavioral data collection including maintenance and/or entry of information into data collection system
• Collects and monitors data to identify students who need additional support or effectiveness of intervention
• Actively participates in meetings and training for classrooms the Registered Behavior Technician supports
• Completes student observations and student-specific data collection methods under supervision

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students individually or in small groups, and ensure a safe and healthy educational environment.
• Support the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans through modeling and coaching.
• Oversees behavioral data collection including maintenance and/or entry of information into data collection system
• Collects and monitors data to identify students who need additional support or effectiveness of intervention
• Actively participates in meetings and training for classrooms the Registered Behavior Technician supports (e.g., team meetings, debrief meetings, training on student safety plans)
• Completes student observations and student-specific data collection methods as needed under the direction of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• Registered Behavior Technician Certification or obtain certification within 6 months of hire
