Job summary

A behavioral therapy organization in Texas seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 therapy for children with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will implement personalized behavior intervention plans under supervision, collect data, and communicate progress. Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized ABA treatment programs under supervision.
  • Provide direct 1:1 therapy to children with autism.
  • Collect data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Follow behavior intervention plans, including reinforcement, prompting, and redirection strategies
  • Assist in developing daily session notes and maintaining documentation requirements
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and observations to supervising BCBAs
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
  • Support generalization of skills across environments through play-based and naturalistic teaching
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in line with BACB guidelines and PediaPlex expectations

Duties
  • Implement individualized ABA treatment programs under the supervision of a BCBA
  • Provide direct 1:1 therapy to children with autism in clinic, home, or community settings
  • Collect accurate and detailed data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
  • Follow behavior intervention plans, including reinforcement, prompting, and redirection strategies
  • Assist in developing daily session notes and maintaining documentation requirements
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and observations to supervising BCBAs
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional developmentSupport generalization of skills across environments through play-based and naturalistic teaching

Qualifications
  • Active RBT certification (or willingness to obtain-PediaPlex provides training!)
  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with children, especially in special education or behavior therapy, is a plus
  • Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to accept supervision, implement feedback, and work collaboratively
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to move frequently: sit, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, bend, etc.
  • Adequate vision and hearing to observe behavior and track data
  • Ability to use tablets, computers, and therapy materials
  • Ability to drive/travel between multiple locations (if necessary).
