Job summary

A dedicated mental health provider in Nashville is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This role involves providing ABA therapy to clients, implementing treatment plans, and maintaining a safe environment. Candidates should have a High School diploma, strong interpersonal skills, and at least 2 years of experience with special needs. A passion for helping others and a RBT certification are preferred. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate and several benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

Your Role as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

As an RBT, you will be on the front lines, working directly with clients to implement life-changing treatment plans developed by a BCBA. You are the key to our clients' progress and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct 1:1 and group ABA therapy for clients to improve communication, social, and daily living skills.

Diligently implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.

Accurately collect, record, and graph session data using digital tools and software.

Assist the BCBA with preparing client materials and conducting stimulus preference assessments.

Maintain a safe, respectful, and confidential environment for all clients.

Effectively communicate with parents, caregivers, and fellow team members.

Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.

A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with special needs.

A passion for helping others and a desire to learn and grow in the field of ABA.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately.

The ability to remain calm, objective, and professional in crisis situations.

Must pass a criminal history background check.

Physical ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and respond quickly to ensure client safety.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.

Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

Additional state certification as a Special Education Teacher, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist.

Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Availability:

Full-time, Monday-Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Weekend availability as needed.
