Job summary

Orange Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to children in the Greater Chicago Area, following treatment plans developed by BCBA supervisors.

You will implement behavior intervention plans, collect data on behaviors and skill development, and support communication, social, and daily living skills in clinic and on-site settings. Collaboration with families and adherence to ethics are essential to our family-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; psychology/education field preferred.

Role Description

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide direct, one-on-one ABA therapy to children in the Greater Chicago Area, following treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing behavior intervention strategies, collecting accurate data on behaviors and skill acquisition, and supporting children in developing communication, social, and daily living skills in clinic and other on-site settings. The RBT will collaborate with supervisors and colleagues, participate in team meetings, and maintain clear, professional communication with families and caregivers. The role also involves adhering to ethical guidelines, documenting session notes, and contributing to a positive, inclusive environment. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Greater Chicago Area.

Qualifications

• Ability to implement ABA-based behavior intervention plans and follow BCBA guidance with consistency and professionalism.
• Skills in data collection, documentation, and use of basic technology tools to track progress and outcomes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with families, supervisors, and team members in a family-centered environment.
• Capacity to support children with diverse needs using patience, empathy, and behavior de-escalation strategies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow ethical standards, and comply with regulatory and organizational policies.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in psychology, special education, behavior analysis, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children, especially in pediatric therapy, education, or special needs settings, is highly beneficial.
• Physical ability to engage in active play, assist with transitions, and work on the floor or at child-level for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance, time management skills, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
