We are expanding our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivatedRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT)to join our growing team.

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician will provide direct ABA services to clients under the clinical supervision and direction of a qualified BCBA.

The RBT will implement individualized treatment and behavior-support programs, collect and document clinical data, support skill acquisition and behavior-reduction programming, and maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for clients.

The ideal candidate is reliable, observant, proactive, adaptable, and genuinely invested in helping clients make meaningful progress.

Essential Responsibilities
Direct Client Services
  • Provide direct ABA services to assigned clients under BCBA supervision.
  • Implement individualized treatment and behavior-support programs as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Follow established clinical protocols and intervention procedures.
  • Support clients in developing communication, social, behavioral, adaptive, and other identified skills.
  • Implement behavior-reduction strategies as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Use evidence-based ABA techniques appropriately and consistently.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, supportive, and engaging environment.
  • Support generalization of skills across appropriate activities and environments.
  • Maintain professional and therapeutic boundaries with clients and families.
Data Collection & Documentation
  • Collect accurate data during client sessions.
  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and within established timelines.
  • Document relevant client behaviors, responses, and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with HIPAA, payer, and organizational requirements.
  • Communicate significant changes, safety concerns, incidents, or other concerns promptly to the supervising BCBA and appropriate leadership.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Communicate professionally with BCBA supervisors, parents/guardians, families, and other CIH team members.
  • Participate in required supervision, training, meetings, and professional-development activities.
  • Communicate scheduling concerns, client-related issues, and barriers to service delivery promptly.
  • Ask questions and seek clarification when needed.
  • Collaborate appropriately with other members of the client’s care team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Family & Client Engagement
  • Build positive, respectful, and professional relationships with clients and families.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and cultural responsiveness.
  • Respect individual family circumstances, preferences, and values.
  • Support family engagement and caregiver education as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Represent Chicago Integrated Health professionally in all client and family interactions.

As CIH continues developing its ABA program, the RBT may also:

Program Support
  • Contribute ideas for engaging activities and client resources.
  • Identify barriers that may affect effective service delivery and communicate them appropriately.
  • Assist with developing appropriate client materials and resources.
  • Participate in program-improvement initiatives.
  • Support a collaborative and positive team environment.
Qualifications
  • Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), as applicable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and onboarding requirements.
  • Ability to meet applicable payer, organizational, and clinical requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and families.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience providing ABA services.
  • Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or related needs.
  • Experience with electronic data collection or clinical documentation systems.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, behavioral-health, educational, or multidisciplinary environment.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
  • Experience working directly with families and children.
