Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Regional Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager in the Phoenix area to partner with regional operations and execute WHS policies. You will lead a team of safety managers and professionals, develop leadership plans, and ensure safety standards are implemented site-wide.

You will build trust with cross-functional teams, deliver data-driven risk assessments, and train site leaders in EHS policies while driving continuous improvement across NA sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years in safety/environmental programs; 7+ years in people and performance management; Lean/process improvement experience; Up to 50% travel; Office within designated region; Willingness to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME of local/regional regulations and company WHS policy.
• Provide guidance to ensure compliance with Amazon WHS policies.
• Measure region/site performance against WHS requirements and plan improvements.
• Maintain WHS recordkeeping and data integrity with accurate reporting and metrics.
• Deliver projects on time and with quality for Operations.
• Analyze WHS metrics and incident trends to allocate safety resources.
• Lead safety talent development and mentor FC WHS teams.
• Spend time at fulfillment centers to gather improvement opportunities.
• Lead tissue injury reduction efforts with Kaizens in partnership with Operations.
• Ensure training quality and effectiveness of WHS training.
• Review tools deployed for continual improvement and share best practices.
