Perdue Foods, part of Perdue Farms, Inc., is seeking a Wholesale Regional Sales Manager to lead sales activities across an assigned territory and build strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams. You will drive growth, negotiate effectively, and ensure product availability to customers.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance is available. The position is based onsite at the Salisbury, MD corporate office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration is required.
• Strong reading, writing, analytical and communication skills are required.
• Must have good computer skills and familiarity with SAP order entry systems.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the segment mix of “Fab Few” items and provide weekly/monthly reports on Gross Margin by products and accounts.
• Submit orders to distribution and product coordinators by required times for all retail products.
• Build and maintain strong relationships and negotiate pricing with key customers and stakeholders.
• Responsible for minimizing daily pricing errors attributed to the salesperson.
• Identify/modify/maintain customer credit requirements as market conditions dictate.
• Manage/maintain/negotiate with accounts’ committed volumes for forecasting.
• Communicate with Field Marketing/Merchandising and address mix and Gross Margin concerns, customer concerns, volume issues, and growth opportunities.
• Maintain personal education plan and attend in-house training as needed.
• Monitor Cash Sales, Landfill and Donation volumes to meet department goals.
• Provide directions to direct reports.
