Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Regional Practice Leader for Watersheds & Stormwater in Atlanta to drive client relationships, oversee business development, and lead multi-disciplinary water resources projects across the Southeast.

You will guide planning/design of stormwater, green infrastructure, and flood mitigation while ensuring regulatory compliance and applying advanced watershed models with a cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering; licensure preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience in water resources.
• Experience with planning and executing water resource projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting.
• Ability to drive client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Build client relationships across the target geography to grow the business.
• Lead business development and capture initiatives for services listed above.
• Interface with stormwater, water quality, and planning partners to apply new technologies.
• Lead water resources projects and act as Project Manager for planning and design tasks.
• Plan stormwater improvements, green infrastructure, flood mitigation, and related facilities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and permitting efforts (USACE, FEMA, etc.).
• Perform scenario planning for SSO, stormwater, and TMDL projects; apply watershed models.
• Develop stormwater master plans and watershed management plans.
