Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a regional leader in civil engineering business development to guide growth, profitability, and staff performance for the practice. You will partner with office and market leaders to shape strategy and ensure delivery excellence.

The role requires a PE license (or equivalent), a B.S. in civil engineering, and 10+ years of supervisory and project management experience with public-sector clients at the state, county, and municipalities. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of supervisory, project management and business development experience.
• Experience leading teams and working with local public clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regional strategic growth with office leaders and market and service line leaders.
• Establish and grow market presence in area through marketing and business development.
• Manage financial budget for practice and allocate resources accordingly.
• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals.
• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff.
• Establish resources staffing needs for the practice on a regional level.
• Interview and make recommendations for hiring staff for the practice.
• Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management.
