Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a seasoned leader to drive business development, manage staff, and oversee department performance. You will coordinate growth plans with office managers, manage budgets, and lead proposal production while serving as a technical resource for project managers and staff.

The role requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and strong communication and supervisory skills to foster team development and client success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer License is required.
• 10+ years’ experience in the specialized discipline.
• Project management and business development experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Experience with local county/state clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders.
• Establish and grow market presence through marketing and business development activities.
• Manage financial budget for department and allocate resources accordingly.
• Lead and contribute to the production of proposals and client deliverables.
• Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and staff.
• Interview and hire staff for the section and conduct performance reviews.
• Provide leadership and continuous performance management to staff.
