Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Regional Planning Leader focused on watersheds, stormwater and integrated planning. You will guide multi-market planning efforts, drive growth, and oversee projects across the Eastern United States.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in water resources planning, design experience, and strong leadership, with a track record in municipal and utility programs. A hybrid work model and ESOP ownership support long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a professional license is preferred.
• Minimum 11 years related work experience in water resources planning and design.
• Experience leading multi-market teams and large-scale projects.
• Experience identifying and pursuing municipal water resources programs and clients.
• Regulatory awareness and ability to manage permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development in the Eastern United States for stormwater/planning services.
• Oversee planning and design of stormwater infrastructure and green/ nature-based solutions.
• Coordinate coastal resilience and flood mitigation projects.
• Drive client relationships and build local execution teams.
• Possibly lead project execution as needed and manage interdisciplinary teams.
