Job summary

Veolia is seeking a dedicated Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at multiple water treatment facilities. The role includes operating electric motors, pumps, and valves, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and supporting new account start‑ups with training and process development.

The position requires extensive travel (1–4 weeks away from home), with a focus on safety, compliance, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 1–4 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

• Maintain coverage of Veolia-operated facilities in designated region across day and night shifts.
• Train local technicians through hands-on visits and training materials.
• Ensure adherence to lab testing, record-keeping, and preventive maintenance standards.
• Support new account start‑ups with task development and technician training.
• Troubleshoot process issues and optimize operations based on data.
• Coordinate with client and Veolia management to ensure contract compliance.
