Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at our client facilities across the region. The role involves operating plants, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment, with significant travel and time away from home.

You will train local technicians, ensure compliance with safety and process standards, collect samples, and support start-up projects for new accounts, while working closely with the SWOT team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia facilities in the region during vacations and absences.
• Train and develop local technicians, provide in-person visits and create training materials.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices, including recordkeeping, lab testing, and maintenance.
• Support new account start-ups with operational tasks, procedures, and goals.
• Troubleshoot process issues, analyze lab data, and implement changes to prevent non-compliance.
• Operate and control pumps, valves, and motors to regulate wastewater flow.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and maintain client data records.
• Coordinate with management to optimize plant operations and training progress.
