Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences at multiple client facilities in the region. Travel is required, including extended periods away from home, to support start-ups and ongoing operations.

You will operate pumps/valves, collect samples, maintain records, and train local technicians. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 3+ years wastewater ops experience, strong communication, and be comfortable with rapid problem-solving in field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, required.
• Willingness to learn and be able take instructions on Wastewater treatment processes
• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field required.
• Prior traveling-work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities during vacations and absences, with day and night shifts as needed.
• Develop training resources and mentor local technicians across a region.
• Perform process changes to meet compliance and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Collect and test wastewater samples; maintain accurate client data records.
• Coordinate with regional teams for startup projects and maintenance planning.
• Operate pumps, motors and valves to regulate flow in WWTPs.
