Job summary

Vogelsang USA, Ltd. seeks a Regional Sales Manager – Municipal Wastewater to grow our municipal market presence across the Western Territory.

You will manage channel partners and maintain direct engagement with end users and engineering firms throughout the sales process from identification to closure. This role emphasizes proactive territory development, with training provided in Vogelsang products, applications, and sales processes to convert opportunities and win business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Process, Water Resources, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in technical sales or related roles.
• Ability to develop customer relationships and generate opportunities.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of pumping systems and municipal wastewater processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently from a home office while meeting targets.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve bookings, revenue, and gross-margin objectives.
• Prospect for new business with wastewater treatment plants, utilities, and municipal facilities.
• Conduct regular in-person visits with decision-makers across municipalities and engineering firms.
• Develop relationships with consulting engineering firms and obtain product specifications.
• Manage and hold channel partners accountable for territory coverage and opportunity development.
• Recruit and develop new channel partners to expand market coverage.
• Collaborate with distributors and sales leadership to drive opportunities and follow-up.
• Maintain direct engagement with municipal end users and engineering firms to create demand and monitor project status.
• Identify applications for Vogelsang pumps and related equipment.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and support customers through the sales process.
• Maintain territory development plans and CRM records; coordinate travel and calendars.
