Job summary

Prisms VR in San Francisco seeks a Regional Teacher Coach to lead professional development, classroom coaching, and curriculum integration for your region, rapidly upskilling educators in best-practice pedagogy through immersive technology.

Under the Head of Teacher Community & Professional Learning, you will model exemplary lessons, conduct side-by-side coaching, and facilitate lesson study to drive measurable learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Commitment to transforming and reimagining STEM education.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or a Master’s degree in STEM education preferred.
• 2–5 years of Grades 6–12 teaching experience preferred.
• 2–3 years of curriculum development experience preferred.
• Knowledge of multiple learning frameworks with a focus on problem-based learning and student‑driven mathematical discourse.
• Deep knowledge of national math standards and their relationship to state standards preferred.
• Clear and energetic communicator who can present to diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Model exemplary lessons to showcase technology integration and best practice pedagogy in mathematical discourse.
• Facilitate in-classroom coaching sessions with side‑by‑side co‑teaching and real‑time feedback.
• Lead lesson study sessions to support knowledge-building of VR module design and facilitation.
• Lead curriculum integration conversations at classroom, school, and district levels.
• Contribute to creation and refinement of supporting curriculum and professional development materials.
• Support and lead PD sessions to onboard new Prisms teachers and provide ongoing development.
• Assess coaching needs regionally and plan next steps accordingly.
• Create and foster community among Prisms teachers and leaders in your region.
