Job summary

Prisms VR, a San Francisco-based team transforming K12 STEM education through experiential VR, seeks a Director of Strategic Growth & Institutional Funding to accelerate revenue by securing federal, state, and private education funds.

You will blend grant-writing artistry with business development to map budgets to our platform, build toolkit templates, and partner with SEAs, RESAs, and philanthropic organizations to expand our reach.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of K-12 grant writing, educational procurement, or edtech business development.
• Deep understanding of K-12 funding structures, including ESSA Titles and competitive grants.
• Proven track record securing six- and seven-figure grants or public sector contracts.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to explain complex products simply.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple grant deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Grant Strategy & Writing: Draft compelling, compliant grant applications and RFPs tailored to K-12 buyers.
• Grant Strategy & Writing: Align product features to funding outcomes for grant makers.
• Grant Strategy & Writing: Build turnkey grant toolkits, templates, and boilerplates for district use.
• Grant Strategy & Writing: Monitor post-award reporting and impact metrics for renewals.
• Business Development & Market Expansion: Identify federal, state, and private funding pipelines.
• Business Development & Market Expansion: Consult with K-12 leaders to map budgets to solutions.
• Business Development & Market Expansion: Build partnerships with SEAs, RESAs, and philanthropic orgs.
• Business Development & Market Expansion: Enable sales with funding strategy training.
