Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a Regional Vice President of Business Development to own a market and accelerate high-value sales in a competitive, performance-driven environment.

You will operate as an elite closer, prospecting and driving the Discovery Process, with up to 75% travel within your region, and a compensation structure offering first-year OTE of $150K-$175K+ and top performers over $300K.

Qualifications

• Has 7+ years of executive-level, consultative B2B sales experience.
• Expert prospector with a strong track record of engaging business owners and closing deals.
• Autonomous, high-energy hunter who thrives in a competitive environment.
• Has advanced CRM and software skills.
• Can travel within their territory for in-person meetings (up to 75% overnight travel).

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and Driving Business Development: conduct outreach to secure 10+ meetings/week with business owners.
• High-Impact Sales Execution: use a consultative approach to introduce Cogent's Discovery Process for profitability opportunities.
• Market Leadership & Brand Ambassadorship: engage owners and stakeholders to position Cogent as growth partner.
• Strategic Pipeline Ownership: work with in-office team to maximize client-facing appointments and own pipeline growth.
• Performance-Driven Leadership: success measured by prospecting, conversion, and revenue growth.
• Aggressive Sales Targeting: drive at least 35 touches per week and secure weekly Discovery commitments.
