Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks an Area Vice President to lead operations and growth for the Northern US Environmental Services division. You will oversee 25+ locations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and strategic expansion across multiple states.

You will steer strategic planning, capital allocation, pricing policy, and governance while building a high-performing leadership team and driving anti- competitive waste disposal strategies in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required with 7+ years of leadership in waste management or environmental services.
• Full P&L ownership experience and strong budgeting/financial management.
• Proven executive leadership, team-building skills, and strategic growth experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic business planning and execution across multiple states and 25+ locations.
• Oversee disposal management, logistics, and regulatory compliance for Environmental Services.
• Allocate capital, review compensation plans, and set pricing strategies.
• Direct growth initiatives, government contracts, M&A integration, and market expansion.
• Ensure governance and alignment with executive management and company policies.
