Job summary

The American Red Cross in Traverse City region seeks a Volunteer Services Senior Specialist to lead recruitment and engagement of volunteers across regional programs.

You will develop strategies, screen and place volunteers, and support ongoing engagement while ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations. Travel within the region may be required and relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Travel: May involve travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement broad-based recruitment strategies to attract and identify Red Cross volunteers to support Regional goals.
• Support programs, projects and initiatives to increase and strengthen volunteer engagement.
• Perform screenings, referrals, and placement of prospective volunteers.
• Maintain records of volunteer leads and produce status reports as directed.
• Coordinate volunteer orientations, placements, meetings and events as needed.
