Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks a Regional Veterinary Technician Training Manager to support Thrive teams across the region, providing training, mentorship, and onboarding aligned with clinical excellence. Frequent travel to regional hospitals is required to support competency assessments and development plans.

The role partners with the National Technician Director to implement initiatives, elevate standards, and ensure adherence to Thrive protocols while advancing team growth and patient care

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of clinical experience as a credentialed veterinary technician.
• 2+ years in training, leadership, or management roles.
• Excellent veterinary technician skills and knowledge base.
• Proven ability to contribute to well-functioning teams.
• Competency-based training experience in dynamic environments.
• Experience with servant leadership, mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Strong communication skills and high EI.
• Solution-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Effective leadership to inspire and guide teams.
• Passion for veterinary medicine and quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Identify skill gaps and training needs with regional hospital leadership.
• Provide tools, training, and onboarding plans aligned with clinical excellence.
• Deliver coaching and professional development for technicians, assistants, trainers, and leaders.
• Mentor hospital technicians and trainers on resources and best practices.
• Support progression through Thrive's clinical skills and growth pathways.
• Promote learning culture, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
• Align training initiatives with Thrive standards and regional priorities.
• Advise leadership on staffing utilization and workflow optimization.
• Document training activities, outcomes, and challenges for leadership.
• Participate in Thrive's Technician Advisory Council initiatives and projects.
• Maintain expertise in veterinary medicine and adult learning principles.
