Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking an Operations Director, Livewell to lead the successful launch and ramp-up of new veterinary hospitals within an assigned region. You will oversee startup, stabilization, and ongoing performance, building Hospital Managers and supporting Founding DVMs.

You will partner across Clinical Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, IT, and the home office to turn concepts into high‑performing hospitals and scalable playbooks, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Multi-site operational leadership experience in a veterinary/healthcare or multi-unit service setting.
• Proven success leading teams in a fast-growth environment.
• Experience recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining leaders.
• Strong financial acumen including budgets and P&Ls.
• Excellent organizational and project-management skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority across functions.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational success of multiple hospital openings from pre-opening to stabilization and growth.
• Oversee an assigned portfolio and manage concurrent openings.
• Drive quality and client experience via standards and audits.
• Monitor performance metrics, milestones, and timelines.
• Identify risks, remove obstacles, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations across sites.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain Hospital Managers.
• Partner with Real Estate, Construction, Finance, and other teams to deliver openings.
