Job summary

MetLife's Global Business Solutions (GBS) invites a Regional Vendor Management Governance Advisor to support Vendor Managers and Engagement Managers in applying enterprise governance standards and practices. You’ll act as a trusted governance resource, enabling adoption of policies, reporting, and operating procedures across regions and business areas.

You will contribute to governance consistency, program effectiveness, stakeholder enablement, and continuous improvement of vendor management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years in vendor management, governance, or related fields.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to interpret governance policies and procedures.
• Ability to use AI to improve speed, quality, and efficiency across tasks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regional rep for Vendor Management Center of Excellence.
• Promote adoption of enterprise standards, templates, and processes.
• Provide guidance on vendor segmentation and governance requirements.
• Monitor adherence and identify remediation needs.
• Support continuous improvement of vendor practices.
• Produce governance reporting and insights for leadership.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and management reporting.
• Analyze governance data for trends and risks.
• Escalate concerns to leadership as appropriate.
• Participate in regional governance forums and updates.
• Provide day-to-day support to Vendor/Engagement Managers and Procurement.
• Support training, onboarding, and enablement activities.
• Coordinate with regional TPRM teams and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate across Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Finance, IT.
• Support vendor lifecycle governance and offboarding.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data quality.
• Contribute to best practices and supporting documents.
