Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Lead Value Engineer in the Tucson/Phoenix area to quantify and demonstrate the business value of MineStar technologies across regional sites.

You will establish baselines, develop data-driven business cases, and work with Commercial teams to drive technology adoption. You will apply mine planning and performance analysis to shape deployments, benchmark outcomes, and communicate results to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Advanced degree or business/finance qualification preferred.
• Experience in mining operations, mine planning or operational improvement roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead value engineering for the region as the go-to expert for customer business case analysis.
• Establish value baselines using operational, production, cost and performance data.
• Build value simulations and models to quantify productivity, cost, safety and utilization impacts of MineStar technologies.
• Apply mine planning and operational expertise to evaluate haul cycles and equipment utilization.
• Partner with Commercial and Sales teams to shape customer value propositions and support pursuits.
• Work with Performance Intelligence to baseline operations and translate insights into benchmarks.
• Define value targets for regional enablement teams and monitor deployment success.
• Present value findings to customer operations, mine planning, finance and executives.
• Contribute to global value engineering standards and share lessons learned across regions.
