Job summary

Mars Incorporated in Hackettstown, NJ is seeking a Regional Transportation Lead to develop and manage a transport strategy that supports on-time delivery and financial goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years' experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• Demonstrated strength in quantitative and analytical experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, negotiate and lead a team.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across multiple sites.
• Effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization including data presentation.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nexus, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage regional projects and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results on targets.
• Create analyses and scorecards for communications to customers and cross-functional teams to improve supply chain compliance.
• Oversee carrier performance management and execution strategy, including carrier relationships and quarterly summits.
• Develop and maintain yearly capacity plans to support procurement and rate negotiations.
• Lead RFP and route guide management to ensure capacity across sites.
• Manage spend: routing guide compliance, assessorial management and cost mitigation.
• Collaborate with planning, warehousing, customerSC, and manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Work with TMS providers to enhance network management and identify opportunities.
• Provide transportation expertise to guide regional growth plans.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

3-5 years' experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
