Job summary

FirstEnergy in Towanda, PA seeks a Line Supervisor to oversee transmission and distribution line crews ensuring safe, reliable operations. You will direct construction, maintenance, testing and restoration activities, while coordinating resources and enforcing safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, 5-7 years in electrical fields, familiarity with CREWS, SAP, GIS and related tools, and the ability to coach teams through complex outage responses and routine work.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 5–7 years in an electrical field.
• Advanced knowledge of transmission and distribution systems.
• Some supervisory experience preferred.
• Able to learn CREWS, SAP, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Able to read and communicate complex prints and specifications.
• Demonstrated leadership and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to safety.
• Directing and supervising employees engaged in electric transmission and distribution line work.
• Directing line workers in installation of energized lines and fault location.
• Responding and supervising resources during emergencies to support public safety and reliability.
• Monitoring activities and enforcing approved work practices and methods.
• Coordinating equipment, tools, materials, and supplies required.
• Coordinating work with other departments and scheduling tasks.
• Demonstrating sound internal and external customer service.
• Counseling employees and recognizing good work and performance.
• Training line employees in established work practices and methods.
• Administering Absenteeism Management and Safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
