American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an engineer to contribute to the design, engineering, and installation of high voltage underground transmission systems. The role spans from front-end engineering design through commissioning, focusing on XLPE and pipe-type cable systems, with emphasis on safe, reliable operations in Corpus Christi.

You will work across multiple grades, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams, and grow toward PE licensure while pursuing advanced projects in transmission

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred for future PE licensure.
• Master's degree or PE license may advance entry level to higher grades.
• Strong analytical and communication skills essential for interdisciplinary teams.

Aufgaben

• Perform load flow analysis, congestion analysis, short circuit and other planning studies.
• Engage with teams and stakeholders; prepare and present findings.
• Support area-wide studies and learn about the 4 RTOs AEP operates.
