Job summary

American Electric Power Co. is seeking an Engineer Assc/Staff in Corpus Christi or Tulsa to perform complex transmission planning work. You will conduct load flow, congestion, and short circuit analyses, using PSS/E, PROMOD, TARA and Aspen, and prepare presentations for stakeholders.

Entry to senior levels are available with ABET accreditation and FE/PE licensing pathways. On-site work in Corpus Christi or Tulsa with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent.
Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged/preferred for PE licensure.

Responsibilities

Perform transmission planning studies and load flow analyses.

Contribute to congestion analysis for generation acquisition and regional planning.
