Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation in Denver is seeking a Regional Traffic Modeling Manager (PE II) to lead Region 1's traffic modeling program, applying advanced engineering principles and guiding staff through modeling projects and data analytics.

The role requires a Colorado PE license and two years of related experience; it will use VISSIM, TransModeler, Synchro, HCS, ICAT, SPICE, CAP-X, GIS, and Power BI, with travel and a hybrid work pattern including in-office days.

Qualifications

  • Current, valid Professional Engineer license (Colorado).
  • Two years of professional experience in a related field, with PE credential.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with in-office days and travel within Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Develop modeling guidelines and standards for Region 1 projects.
  • Lead Region 1's Traffic Modeling Training Program.
  • Review consultant traffic models and provide feedback and analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and calibrate corridor and network models.
  • Create dashboards and visualization products using Power BI and GIS.
