Job summary

Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions is seeking a Regional Technical Operations Manager in Phoenix, AZ. You will oversee technical support for Crafco product offerings, coordinate across management, production, lab, and sales, and drive process improvements. This role requires significant travel and strong chemistry/engineering background with asphalt tech experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in chemistry or engineering; asphalt tech experience acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years with a bachelor's; 5+ years without a degree.
• Experience formulating and supporting polymer-modified asphalt is a plus.
• Strong MS Office and computer skills required; willingness to travel ~50%.
• Located near a major airport hub for easy travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely technical support and communication to PCR plants and QA/QC.
• Facilitate operational consistency across the plant network.
• Manage formulation with Paragon and Crafco MQT to optimize efficiency and costs.
• Oversee Quality Management system for compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with Sales and Technical Marketing on field feedback.
• Evaluate raw materials with supply and procurement teams.
• Establish new processes to benchmark assets and materials.
• Support facilities through interaction with operations and marketing.
• Partner with labs and engineering to drive new products from concept to commercialization.
• Deploy plant assets/chemistry to deliver technologies; scale-up from lab to plant.
• Participate in product and process evaluation and strategic tech initiatives.
• Develop and implement new ideas for management consideration.
