Job summary

Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions seeks a Facility Manager for our Pasco, WA terminal to lead day-to-day operations, prioritize safety, and drive performance across production, maintenance and regulatory compliance.

You will manage staff, scheduling, budgeting and capital projects while coordinating with engineering and regulatory agencies to ensure quality, timely deliveries and safe operations. This role demands strong leadership and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Business preferred.
• 3–5 years' experience in asphalt terminal operations or chemical processing environment.
• Proven operations leadership and personnel development.
• Safety and environmental compliance knowledge.
• Strong communication with suppliers, peers, customers and agencies.
• Solid technical, analytical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and capital projects.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and local software.
• Valid Driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Must be available 24/7 and able to work long hours, nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide enthusiastic leadership and development for facility staff.
• Plan and supervise administrative duties, scheduling, and production activities with cost efficiency, including hiring and training.
• Build relationships with customers, vendors, sales staff, regulators and transportation reps.
• Oversee inventory control and manufacturing operations for cost and utilization improvements.
• Direct incoming receipts, inter-plant disposition, blending, transfers and shipments.
• Maintain product quality and specs with technical coordination.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and expansion projects; coordinate with engineering and contractors.
• Develop and enforce safety and environmental programs and compliance reporting.
• Develop and manage terminal budgets, local purchasing, and capital expenditure requests.
• Understand drivers of terminal performance; support data-driven decisions.
• Create SOPs and Emergency Operating Procedures; use systems for tracking.
• Coordinate marine, rail, and trucking operations ensuring safe transfers.
• Ensure compliance with trucking, rail, and marine regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
